VEGGIES CAN NURISH

Food is one of the most important needs of a human being. This gives nutrients and minerals to our body that makes us vigorous, fast and accurate to finish the day’s activities, and vegetable is one of it. So the ISNHS T.L.E. Department conducted a Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme “Pagkain Ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw Itong Ihain” to make the students realise the importance in eating vegetables.

Poster Making Slogan and Mr. and Mrs. Nutrition are the activities that had recently made. Four of my classmates joined the Mr. and Mrs. Nutrition. They are Jaster, John Paul, James for the boys and Sheena for the girls, but two of the boys are only house players that means that they are only fake, making the real contestants very nervous! But sadly Sheena is the only one of my classmates who won and eliminated to the finals. Food Fest was also done and my eyes are enlarged when I saw the nutritious and healthy foods that were place on each table of the student entrepreneurs! We are also practising for the Nutri Jingle that will be held on July 24, 2012 at our Gymnasium. We didn’t receive any awards yet when it comes in Nutri Jingle like what happened last school year. So we are determined to win and get a prize now! And lastly, there will be a Cook Fest that Jaster, John Paul and I are one of the contestants.

It is good that a school like ours is conducting programs like this because the student’s minds will be nurtured with beautiful and good ideas on what a student should eat, like vegetables that guides them to their own right path of nourishment and health.
